Annual Remembrance Service

A large number of FPs and relatives of Morgan FPs involved in the Great War,  joined staff and pupils at  the Centenary Commemoration of the start of the First World War, on Saturday, 8th November.

117 FPs and a member of the teaching staff died, but many other FPs fought for their country.

Dr Sandy Cooper read extracts from the diary of his father, John Cooper, Morgan Academy 1910-1916.  John Cooper was one of the lucky ones. Listening to his diary extracts was a very emotional experience, for old and young, tonight.  His love of the Morgan was obvious, but his experience at the Front should give us something to think about in these troubled times.

Young men left their homes to fight for their country.   We WILL remember them.
