Former Pupils’ Afternoon Tea

Last year as part of an  MAFPA fundraising event, a bidding war took place among FPs attending the 125 Celebration Dinner, to win a prize of Afternoon Tea in the Rector’s Office – the winner paid well over £100 for the privilege.

This took place on 24 January 2015 with seven former pupils and one guest given a guided tour of the school by the Rector followed by Afternoon Tea in the Rector’s Office. Catering was provided courtesy of Mrs Linda Allan, also a former pupil. All of the guests had a very enjoyable afternoon and commented very positively on the excellent condition of the interior of the school after over 10 years in use since the rebuild. They were particularly impressed when they considered that over one thousand use the building on a daily basis on weekdays during term time. They were also very impressed with the quality of the pupil and staff displays on the noticeboards as they moved round the school.

This was an enjoyable afternoon and very worthwhile considering that this event was part of a fundraising venture that resulted in the FPs  making a generous donation of £10,000 to the school fund which has allowed us to purchase a new minibus.

The new minibus should be with us around Easter although the exact date has still to be confirmed.
