Thanks to the generosity of a number of anonymous FPs, two items of World War 1 memorabilia have been bought at a recent Auction Sale and donated to our archives.
The Death Penny, given to the parents of Second Lieutenant James Beaton McKinnon is very special. How it came to be in a local man’s Military collection remains a mystery. Perhaps someone reading this may know members of his family. If so, please tell them that it can be seen in the Archives.
