Thanks to the generosity of a number of anonymous FPs, two items of World War 1 memorabilia have been bought at a recent Auction Sale and donated to our archives.
The Death Penny, given to the parents of Second Lieutenant James Beaton McKinnon is very special. How it came to be in a local man’s Military collection remains a mystery. Perhaps someone reading this may know members of his family. If so, please tell them that it can be seen in the Archives.
The Roll of Honour has been scanned and is now on a CD. In the fullness of time the pages will be put on the gallery.
